What to Expect

In Sessions

Following client enquiries I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation. This is a chance for you to explain a little about what is going on for you and briefly what you are hoping to get out of therapy. It is also a chance for me to tell you a little about myself and you can ask any questions you may have about the therapy I offer.

If you are happy to arrange an initial appointment we can do this following the consultation.  I have a room at a therapeutic centre called The Practice Rooms in central Norwich, conveniently located in the Lanes. The rooms here are very comfortable, with beautiful decor and lots of natural light. During our first appointment my aim is to find out more about you, so I usually ask a lot of questions about your current difficulties, your understanding of them and how it affects your day to day life. I will also be interested to know about your childhood, and any key relationships, both past and present.  However, my ultimate aim is to make you feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Following this first appointment, together we can come up with some goals for treatment and contract the number of sessions. I typically recommend between 8-12 sessions depending on client need.
